Description
The Medical Association of Jamaica Scholarship
The MAJ will be celebrating 60 years of excellence with this new scholarship initiative released in September 2026. MAJ Final Year scholarship is valued at 1,000,000 JMD.
Eligibility
- Candidates who are full-time FINAL year students in the MBBSÂ programme at the UWI Mona.
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
- Demonstrate verifiable financial that could otherwise impede the completion of their medical degree.
- Demonstrate community involvement, including co-curricular activities, volunteerism, and leadership experience.
Special Requirements
- Curriculum Vitae
- A 500-word essay highlighting the candidate’s passion for medicine, leadership experience, scholarship impact and future career goals.
- Two (2) letters of recommendation
