St. Andrew West Rural Tertiary Assistance

The Saint Andrew West Rural Tertiary Assistance Programme 2026 is currently open for applications through July 31, 2026, offering tuition grants for eligible university and college students.  Eligibility & Requirements Must reside in the constituency of St. Andrew West Rural. Tuition letter from a college or university. National ID. Tax Registration Number (TRN). Birth certificate. Passport-size photo.  Application Process Registration runs from July 6 to July 31, 2026. Space is limited, so early registration is advised. Applications must be obtained directly from the St. Andrew West Rural Constituency Office. Eligibility applicant must: Be a resident of the Eastern Westmoreland Constituency Be accepted to or enrolled in anaccredited tertiary institution for 2026/2027 academic year Be pursuing a Certificate, Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree programme recognized by the University Council of Jamaica (UCJ) Not be receiving another Ministry-funded tertiary tuition grant. Agricultural Postgraduate Scholarship Programme The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining is proud to launch its Postgraduate Scholarship Programme, a strategic initiative to invest in advanced academic training that drives agricultural transformation and national development. This scholarship supports MSc and PhD studies in high-impact disciplines critical to the modernization of Jamaica’s Agriculture, Fisheries and Mining sector which includes: Genetics, Soil Science, Precision Agriculture, Biometrics, and Crop Science. The aim is to build a cadre of highly trained professionals equipped to lead scientific innovation, policy development, and technological adoption across the sector. Where You Can Study Scholarships are tenable at approved Local and International Universities through face-to-face study modes. Programme Duration Master level (*up to 2 years renewable annually) PhD Level (*up to 3 years renewable annually) Eligibility Criteria Under the Scholarship Programme, each applicant must: Be a Jamaican citizen or permanent resident Hold a degree in a relevant agricultural or natural sciences discipline (minimum GPA of 3.0) Have been admitted to a recognized institution offering postgraduate programmes in the approved fields At the time of application: MSc./MPhil. Level candidates should be no older than 35 years and PhD level candidates no older than 45 years.
